you know you have too much perfume when…

So, I was trying to find my stapler.  I found an open Serge Lutens box.  Reaching in for my Santal Blanc, to take a sniff and likely spritz, I found… Fumerie Turque?

So sniff and spritz I did.  I’ve actually made a dent in the level of fluid in this particular bottle.  And yet I completely forgot I owned it, and even about the scent, as it sat in plain sight on my dresser.

Fumerie Turque?  Highly recommended.

Kas?  Sheepish.

The sexism in the democratic party.

I’m not going to comment right now… my main reason for posting this is that while Hilary Clinton’s campaign has been a gallery of the present state of misogyny and sexism in North America, there’s a much more chilling reality: the seemingly ubiquitous public airing of this misogyny and sexism will have a real, negative effect on women long after the campaigns have wound up.

Yesterday was dregs of the incomparable Tabac Blond. I might have noticed when others were going for a smoke more readily, not sure. But I smelled damn good.

Today – Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist, in the little bottle of parfum. I like this, and while I always felt it was not the subtle scent some suggested, I find it less overt than I used to. It’s a comforting frragrance for this fragrance fiend.

(Amusingly, in my mind, many an alliteration abounds today, toppling into text before I become, bemused, aware. Apparently an augmented alliterative slant is suggestive of certain facets of my mood. I should perhaps pen a programme to predict mood, mainly via measure of my level of alliteration in textual entries.)

Le sigh.

Mmmm, so good.
It is sweetening up a bit this afternoon – but somehow this sweet is ok for me.
No cigarette-seekiness. This is also good.

Caron is amazing, and Tabac Blond is a masterpiece.
